Georgian Police seize up to 1 kg of cocaine, foreign national arrested

Officers from the central criminal police department of the ministry of internal affairs of Georgia have arrested a citizen of Azerbaijan on charges of illegal purchase, storage, and facilitation of the sale of drugs in especially large quantities.

According to the official statement released by the ministry, the operation led to the seizure of significant evidence from both the suspect's person and their temporary residence.

During searches of the suspect’s personal belongings and temporary residence, police seized as evidence a particularly large amount of narcotics - up to 1 kilogram of cocaine - prepared for distribution.

Law enforcement officers also seized materials necessary for packaging narcotic substances.
