The Georgian State Security Service on Thursday stated that neither Georgian nor Israeli intelligence services had any information regarding potential terrorist attacks in Georgia, and therefore, no such information was shared with anyone.
The Service's statement comes in response to media reports suggesting that several members of the Knesset canceled a planned visit to Georgia due to alleged terrorist threats.
“We are in contact with representatives of the Israeli intelligence services, who expressed surprise over the spread of incorrect information. It is very regrettable and significant that such information is circulated by parts of the Georgian media without verification with us. We strongly urge everyone to refrain from spreading unverified information that could harm Georgia”, the Service said.
