Georgian Police arrest foreign citizen for possession of significant cocaine quantity

The Georgian Interior Ministry’s Central Criminal Police Department on Friday arrested a citizen of Turkey following operational and investigative actions on charges of illegal purchase and possession of a particularly large quantity of narcotic drugs.

The charges carry potential sentences of up to 20 years or life imprisonment.

During a search of the suspect’s temporary residence, law enforcement officers seized as evidence approximately 150 grams of cocaine, packaged in six separate bundles, classified as a particularly large quantity.
