Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday said relations between Georgia and Armenia had reached an unprecedented level under Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s leadership, praising his personal contribution to strengthening ties between the two neighboring countries.
In his remarks, Kobakhidze once again congratulated Pashinyan on his election victory and hoped that Georgian and Armenian Governments would continue to actively develop bilateral relations over the next four years.
“I spoke with Mr. Nikol Pashinyan immediately and congratulated him on his election victory. Of course, I expressed my hope and desire that over the next four years we will continue to work actively on the development of our bilateral relations”, he said.
“Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s personal role in deepening Georgian-Armenian relations has been exceptional, and I would like to thank him for that”, Kobakhidze noted.
When Kobakhidze asked about assessments made by election observation missions regarding the Armenian elections, he said the issue concerned the relationship between those observer organizations and the country in question.
