Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday sharply criticised the German Government and its top diplomat to Tbilisi, labeling their recent actions as “frivolous”.
The Prime Minister’s remarks came in response to a journalist's question regarding the German Foreign Ministry’s failure to update official information about Georgia on its website. Kobakhidze expressed deep regret over the situation, contrasting it with Germany's historical reputation.
“The issue concerns Germany, a country that historically stood out as a state based on principles. Those principles seem to have disappeared somewhere, which is very unfortunate and regrettable”, he said.
“The fact that they are unable to even update information on a website is completely unserious. I am not even referring to many other actions. The refusal to schedule a meeting with the Ambassador is yet another manifestation of this”, Kobakhidze concluded.
