Close and actively developing relations between Georgia and the United Arab Emirates were discussed on Thursday in a meeting between Georgian prime minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajeri, the UAE minister of state for foreign affairs.
The officials underscored the historic significance of last year's visit by the UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which acted as a major catalyst for strengthening diplomatic and economic bonds.
The discussion also covered cooperation in the economic and investment sectors, highlighting the importance of the visa-free travel and the economic partnership agreement between the two countries in further stimulating trade and investment.
Particular attention was drawn to the major investment by Eagle Hills, valued at $6.6 billion, which is expected to significantly contribute to Georgia’s continued economic growth.
