Mayor of Washington DC Muriel Bowser on Wednesday welcomed Tamar Taliashvili, Georgia’s newly appointed Ambassador to the United States, at a ceremonial reception.
During the meeting, Bowser congratulated Taliashvili on the beginning of her diplomatic mission in the United States and wished her success in further strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
The event was organised to recognise the important role that ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps play in shaping the cultural and economic landscape of Washington DC.
The reception was attended by members of the diplomatic corps accredited to the United States, as well as representatives of the US federal government and the District of Columbia administration.
