Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár on Monday said relations between Georgia and Slovakia were very good and there were no problems.
At a joint briefing with his Georgian counterpart Maka Botchorishvili, Blanár noted that relations between the countries were being strengthened by the opening of new consulates.
He further added that the Slovak Parliament Speaker would also visit Georgia in the near future as well as the Prime Minister’s visit was also scheduled.
“We are trying to make this happen soon. I am glad that our relations are being strengthened by opening new consulates. For example, a consulate was opened in Kutaisi. Relations are improving, for example, a direct flight from Bratislava to Kutaisi and vice versa has been scheduled”, Blanár said.
The Minister emphasized Georgia’s attractiveness from a tourist point of view.
“I would like to emphasize that Slovakia fully supports the sovereignty and territorial integration of Georgia. We support the unity and sovereignty of your country, regardless of which country violates its territorial integrity”, he concluded.
