Lőrinc Nacsa, a Member of the National Assembly of Hungary and Chair of the Hungary-Georgia Friendship Group, on Friday highlighted Hungary’s support for Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
In his remarks, Nacsa emphasised that the two countries share common values, including Christian and family values, a commitment to sovereignty, and a desire for peace.
“We share common values - Christian values, family values. We protect our sovereignty, and both of us want peace. We discussed energy issues, the Green Corridor project, Georgia-Hungary economic cooperation, and peace. Our countries want peace and want to avoid war. Clearly, Georgia has impressive economic growth”, he said following a meeting with a visiting Georgian parliamentary delegation.
“We support Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration; however, we do not want Brussels to lecture the Georgian Government. The Georgian Government is absolutely legitimate and elected, and we support the choice of the Georgian people and the Government of Georgia”, Nacsa concluded.
