Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili on Thursday said that it was clear and evident that specific actions carried out by Peter Fischer, the German Ambassador to the country, were in conflict with the provisions of the Vienna Convention, but no comments would be made regarding the activities of a specific ambassador.
Botchorishvili’s comments came after Fischer published a photo on the social media platform X in which he was standing next to individuals who are funding violent processes in Georgia in violation of the law.
She noted that it was impossible to make public statements regarding all of his actions.
“It is clear and evident that specific actions are in conflict with the provisions of the Vienna Convention. However, we also stated that no comments would be made regarding the activities of a specific ambassador, and it is impossible for us to have public comments or statements on every one of his actions”, she said.
“We will not damage the relations between countries, we will safeguard the relations between countries, and we will not follow an agenda aimed at harming the relations between countries”, she concluded.
