Relations between Georgia and Hungary were discussed on Tuesday in a meeting between Kakha Kaladze, the Mayor of Tbilisi and Secretary General of the ruling Georgian Dream party, and Gábor Kubatov, a member of the Hungarian Parliament and the ruling Fidesz party President.
The meeting focused on prospects for deepening cooperation, global challenges, and the importance of joint efforts in addressing these challenges.
Kaladze thanked the Hungarian Government and the ruling party for Georgia’s firm support.
“I had a very productive visit in Budapest, and thanks for such warm and friendly hospitality. Our countries are connected in many ways, which is further strengthened by the alignment of positions on recent developments. For both Georgia and Hungary, the main priority is protecting the interests of our countries and staying committed to the fundamental values of maintaining sovereignty and fighting for the truth”, Kaladze said.
Kubatov wished Georgia’s ruling team success in protecting the country’s interests and emphasised that Georgia’s success strengthens Hungary, which he said was encouraging.
