Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on Friday said the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan would contribute to the development of the region, adding that the South Caucasus could truly transform into a crossroads of peace.
In his speech during a joint press conference with his Georgian counterpart Maka Botchorishvili, Mirzoyan noted that the South Caucasus countries, which had great potential, should connect with each other and establish ties with other regions.
“In this context, the Crossroads of Peace project is not a novelty. This project was presented in Georgia by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. The peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, with the mediation of the US President, we believe will contribute to the development of the region. Our region can truly become a crossroads of peace”, Armenian FM said.
