Cooperation between Georgia and the Council of Europe, as well as the resolutions adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe were discussed on Thursday in a meeting between the Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Alain Berset, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, on the sidelines of the European Political Community Summit in Copenhagen.
During the meeting, the officials addressed all relevant topics.
“As you know, we suspended our activities in the Assembly after a specific resolution was adopted. Here as well, we expressed our full readiness to cooperate with the Council of Europe. We are also ready to work with the Parliamentary Assembly, but this cooperation must be based on specific principles. I thanked Mr. Alain Berset for his involvement in the processes related to our country, and I hope that these relations will continue in a healthy manner in the future”, the PM said.
