The deliberations on parliamentary ties and the cooperation prospects were discussed on Thursday in a meeting between the members of the Georgian Parliament, who are on an official visit to Brazil, and the officials of the Brazilian legislative body.
As noted, the regular joint Committee sittings are regarded as a substantial format for the enhancement of Parliamentary cooperation.
These sittings can be convened online and during the bilateral visits.
Georgian MPs expressed their gratitude to their Brazilian counterparts for supporting the territorial integrity of Georgia.
As per the Brazilian lawmakers, supporting the territorial integrity of Georgia is based on the fundamental principles of international law and correspondingly, their position is unwavering.
Delegation members seized the meetings as a platform to present information on the economic reforms implemented in Georgia, which led to a two-digit economic growth rate. The discussions also covered the political landscape of Brazil and Latin America.
Speaking about the economic potential of Georgia, the emphasis was placed on its capacity as a transit corridor and investment platform.
During the meeting in the Education Committee, the parties emphasised that fostering cooperation between the Georgian and Brazilian universities and sharing the best practices in the education reforming process will ultimately lead to the strengthening of their partnership.
