European Parliament member Ondřej Dostál on Tuesday said Georgians had elected a Government that was not against Europe but only defended its own country.
In his remarks during the debate on Georgia, Dostál noted that by pressuring the Georgian Government, the European Union would only lose a partner and an ally.
“Would you like it if the United States interfered in the affairs of the European Commission? Georgians have elected a Government that is not against Europe. The Georgian Government is only defending its own country. You cannot change the [Georgian] Government through pressure. That way we will lose a partner and an ally”, Dostál said.
