Turkey reaffirms support for Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, says Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister

Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Berris Ekinci on Tuesday reaffirmed her country’s firm support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity following political consultations held with the Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili.

In her remarks, Ekinci highlighted the constructive and productive nature of the talks.

“Today, we held political consultations with Georgia, which were very productive and constructive. We had the opportunity to discuss both bilateral cooperation issues and regional topics of importance to both sides”, Ekinci said.

As part of the political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and Turkey, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili on Tuesday met with the Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Berris Ekinci.

The officials highlighted the close friendship and strong strategic partnership between Georgia and Turkey.
