At the Conservative Political Action Conference, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Thursday delivered an endorsement of Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, calling him a “hero of Georgia, an international patriot, and the man who won the election”.
Orbán praised Kobakhidze’s leadership and resolve in standing against liberal political movements, crediting him with overcoming opposition and driving significant economic growth in Georgia.
“He stood up to the liberal movements, defeated them all, and brought major economic growth to his country”, Orbán said.
Referring to Georgia’s geopolitical challenges, the Hungarian leader emphasised Kobakhidze’s resilience and independence in foreign policy.
“The hero of Georgia, an international patriot, the man who won the elections is Irakli Kobakhidze. Dear friends, 20 percent of Georgia has been taken by the Russian bear, but he did not bow to Brussels. He became the new Great Britain and emerged as a strong, successful leader in his own country”, he concluded.
