Isaac Herzog, the President of Israel, on Monday congratulated Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili and all of Georgia on the occasion of the Independence Day.
In his letter, Herzog noted that the Government of Israel deeply appreciated the importance between the two countries and enjoyed a number of common geopolitical interests.
“Your Excellency, on behalf of the State of Israel and its citizens, please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of Georgia's Independence Day. Here in Jerusalem, we hold a deep appreciation for the important relations we enjoy with Georgia as we share a number of common geopolitical interests”, Herzog said.
“I am committed to using my time in the office of the presidency to continue working to expand and strengthen the partnership between our two nations, in fields as vital as they are varied including commerce, tourism, and cultural exchanges”, he continued.
He further added that beyond politics, there was a deep and historic connection between the two nations.
“Georgia’s vibe Jewish community Jews of Georgian origin both serve as a living bridge connecting our two nations, creating an unmovable anchor securing our bonds of friendship”, Herzog noted.
“Once again, on this day of celebration and pride, please accept my warmest congratulations to you and the people of Georgia. May the coming year be one of peace and prosperity for your nation”, he concluded.
