Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili on Friday said the Antalya Diplomacy Forum was proving to be a crucial platform for Georgia to engage in bilateral meetings with its partners and discuss various pressing issues.
In her remarks, Botchorishvili also highlighted the participation of the Georgian Prime Minister in a key panel discussion alongside other leaders, underscoring the forum's high-level engagement.
“Today, the Prime Minister had the opportunity to participate in a key panel discussion held within the framework of this conference, alongside other leaders. In addition, of course, this is a valuable opportunity to hold bilateral meetings with our partners and to discuss various important matters related to Georgia - topics that are relevant for the country, developments taking place in the region, and, naturally, Georgia’s positioning within these processes”, the FM said.
Botchorishvili emphasised that the Georgian Government was making use of every forum and opportunity to raise awareness about the country's priorities and the challenges it faces.
“Of course, this includes integration into the European Union, relations with EU member states, as well as the approaches we have recently encountered from certain EU member countries, some politicians, and bureaucrats in Brussels. Naturally, this too is often a topic of discussion, because Georgia is truly a country that deserves respect - respect for the choice of the Georgian people. This is the cornerstone of democracy: respecting the will of the people, the Government elected by the people, and the policies that this Government pursues”, she concluded.
