He noted that, despite complex geopolitical and regional dynamics, the Georgian government has managed to preserve peace and stability, creating favourable conditions for economic growth and social development.
“We see economic growth not only as a tool for poverty reduction and social well-being, but also as a means to reinforce national security and regional peace”, he noted.
Papuashvili highlighted family-centered policies as a key pillar of Georgia’s social agenda, speaking about progress in areas such as: accessible healthcare; expanded social security systems; support for large families; increased protection for vulnerable populations.
He also pointed to the country’s legislative achievements in the areas of equality and human rights, including: The Law on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination; The Concept of Equality of Men and Women; Women’s Economic Empowerment; Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
In a forward-looking appeal, Papuashvili called for a “new social contract for humanity” - one that addressed the complexity of contemporary global challenges.
