Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili on Wednesday reiterated the country’s unwavering support for Ukraine, emphasising the importance of upholding international principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence.
In her remarks, Botchorishvili noted that Georgia had consistently backed Ukraine and would continue to do so, as these principles form the foundation of the international order.
“Georgia has always supported and continues to support Ukraine, its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence. These are the principles that are very important to us. These are international principles on which the international order should be based, and, of course, we will continue to support Ukraine”, the FM said.
“However, it must also be said that the current situation demands very serious approaches and deep dialogue in order to first achieve a ceasefire agreement, to stop the war, to end the loss of human lives, and then to begin discussions on what the possible outcomes of the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia could be”, Botchorishvili concluded.
