Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili on Tuesday said Slovakia and Hungary were not sharing the criticism that came “undeservedly” from Brussels towards Georgia.
In her remarks, Botchorishvili noted that all three countries agreed that Georgia's European integration process was primarily hindered by Brussels’ “unfair approach”.
“I had the opportunity to meet with the Slovakian and Hungarian Foreign Ministers. Of course, we talked about the discussions that took place yesterday within the framework of the European Union. Both sides fully support Georgia. Neither Slovakia nor Hungary shares the unjustified criticism coming from Brussels towards Georgia, and they will do their utmost to ensure that Georgia’s European integration process receives support”, the Georgian FM said.
“We all agree that Brussels' unfair stance towards Georgia is the primary obstacle to the country's European integration”, she concluded.
