Renowned American professor Jeffrey Sachs on Friday addressed recent political developments in Georgia during discussions held at the European Parliament.
Sachs expressed concern over the latest events in the country, emphasizing their negative impact on Georgia’s security and stability.
Sachs addressed recent political developments in Georgia, arguing that the involvement of certain MEPs and visiting politicians was counterproductive to the country's interests.
“The most recent events are not helpful for Georgia, for its safety. Your MEPs and European politicians going there, that gets Georgia destroyed, that doesn't save Georgia, that gets Georgia destroyed”, he said.
His remarks come amid ongoing debates over Georgia’s political landscape and its relations with European institutions.
