Ľuboš Blaha, Slovak Member of the European Parliament, on Wednesday said the Georgian Government had made the correct decision by not becoming a tool of the West against Russia, unlike Ukraine.
In his interview with Imedi TV, Blaha noted that Europe and the former United States administration wanted to fight Russia to the last Ukrainian, and the same was true regarding Georgia.
He further added that after the United States President Donald Trump's decision regarding the war in Ukraine, European leaders started panicking.
“After Trump's decision, European leaders are in panic mode, scared, and crying. The Chair of the Munich Security Conference even cried at a press conference. European leaders like Macron and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer are weeping, which is quite pathetic. Can you imagine how much the Russians are laughing at this? The EU wants to defeat Russia but cries when the US does not stand by them”, the MEP said.
Addressing Georgians, Romanians, and Slovaks, Blaha questioned whether European leaders had the right to dictate decisions when they struggled to control their own territories.
“Trump’s decision changed everything in the world. We now see US-Russia negotiations regarding peace. From day one, we have supported peace in Ukraine. I am convinced Georgia made the best decision by not following Ukraine’s path of becoming the West’s tool against Russia. Otherwise, your people would have perished just like the Ukrainians”, he concluded.
