Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili on Wednesday said Kazakhstan was an economically important partner for Georgia.
In her remarks over the Georgian Prime Minister’s visit to the country, Botchorishvili noted that there was potential that still needed to be better used and utilised, and highlighted the importance of high-level visits and meetings in this regard.
“[Kazakhstan] is an important partner, especially in the context that Georgia has a stated priority to play an important role in connectivity between the East and the West, and in this regard, it is important to cooperate with those countries that are key participants in connectivity projects in this direction”, the Foreign Minister said.
“Kazakhstan is an economically important partner for Georgia, there is potential that still needs to be better used and better utilised. For this, it is important to conduct high-level visits, meetings, talk about cooperation in various directions, where we can strengthen cooperation. This will be the main topic of discussion with Kazakh partners, Kazakh friends, to accurately identify those areas where our interests coincide and strengthen cooperation in order to better utilise Georgia's potential, and for cooperation to be beneficial for both countries”, she concluded.
