Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Thursday said the agenda of the joint session of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation between Armenia and Georgia had covered many issues, including transport, communications, energy, tourism, agriculture, environmental protection, healthcare, culture, education, science, and many more issues related to existing and future projects.
In his remarks after the joint session, Pashinyan expressed confidence that the governments of Armenia and Georgia would continue to deepen their “mutually beneficial” cooperation in many areas.
“The joint sessions of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation between Armenia and Georgia, the annual meetings, are very important. This shows that our cooperation has a very rich agenda. In the past years, especially in 2024, an important fact occurred - the Declaration of our Strategic Partnership was signed. I am confident that, based on the joint efforts of our Governments, we will continue to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in many areas”, Pashinyan said.
“The agenda of today's meeting covered many issues, including transport, communications, energy, tourism, agriculture, environmental protection, healthcare, culture, education, science and many more, related to existing and future projects. I recognise that our fraternal nations are facing a very concrete, strong reality with a friendly attitude, Georgia and Armenia unconditionally support each other's sovereignty and territorial integrity, we treat each other with care and respect, we care about each other's priorities and positions. Not only will we not allow anything to harm each other, but we will also protect each other's interests. The societies in our countries share many traditions, be it cultural or historical, and we have values that are based on friendship, respect”, he concluded.
