Georgian President, Emir of Qatar discuss partnership, prospects for cooperation development

The existing partnership between Georgia and Qatar as well as the prospects for the development of cooperation were discussed on Wednesday in a meeting between Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
Kavelashvili thanked the State of Qatar for its support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The meeting also emphasised the importance of peace, stability and diplomatic dialogue in the region.
The officials further underlined Qatar's positive role in international mediation.
The President of Georgia expressed personal condolences over the passing of former Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and honored his outstanding role in shaping modern Qatar’s development.
