Kazakh President to Georgian PM: your strong leadership allows country to successfully overcome difficult challenges, maintain stable course of development

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Monday emphasised the progress of Georgia in recent years, saying Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze’s strong leadership allowed the country to successfully overcome difficult challenges and at the same time maintain a stable course of development.

During an expanded meeting with Kobakhidze, Tokayev assessed the signing of the document on strategic partnership between Georgia and Kazakhstan as a historic decision that served the interests of the two nations.

“Georgia is an experienced and highly reliable partner for us. We particularly value the traditional friendly relations between our countries. Our countries are connected by deep historical roots, common cultural values, and close people-to-people ties, which create a solid foundation for our partnership. We highly appreciate your personal contribution to strengthening cooperation and friendship between Kazakhstan and Georgia”, the President said.

“Today we will sign a joint agreement that will elevate our relations to the level of strategic partnership. This is truly a historic decision that serves the fundamental interests of our peoples and creates a solid foundation for further expansion of cooperation between the two countries. This is one of the most important results of your visit to Kazakhstan and is a significant step forward in our cooperation”, he continued.

Tokayev further highlighted Georgia as a dynamic and forward-looking country with a bright future and sincerely wished the Georgian Government success in achieving national goals.

“I would also like to note the progress that Georgia has achieved in recent years. Your strong leadership allows Georgia to successfully cope with difficult challenges and at the same time Maintain a stable course of development”, the President noted.

“Georgia continues to achieve impressive results in strengthening democratic institutions, promoting economic growth, and enhancing its role in the international arena. We see Georgia as a dynamic and forward-looking country with a bright future and sincerely wish you success in achieving your national goals”, he concluded.
