Mariam Kvrivishvili, the minister of economy and sustainable development of Georgia, on Wednesday said that the construction of the Anaklia deep sea port is placing a heavy emphasis on local employment, while ensuring high-level execution through the involvement of world-class experts and international firms.
During her visit to Anaklia, Kvrivishvili highlighted that the sheer scale of the project has necessitated the mobilisation of top-tier global expertise.
“This will have a positive impact on the well-being of our citizens, while at the same time we are ensuring the involvement of international expertise to guarantee that the construction and development of the Anaklia deep-sea port project is carried out to the highest standards”, she noted.
The marine infrastructure design and construction of the Anaklia deep sea port is being carried out by Jan De Nul N.V., a major Belgian firm and member of Europe’s so-called “Big Four” in marine engineering.
