New data from the Adjusted Global Adaptation Index has placed Georgia among the world’s top ten performers, specifically ranking the nation in the top five globally for economic readiness.
The findings were highlighted by Levan Makhashvili, the chair of the Georgian Parliament’s European integration committee, who framed the report as a definitive rebuttal to international and domestic “disinformation” campaigns targeting the country’s reputation.
Speaking on the current geopolitical climate, Makhashvili emphasised the challenges Georgia faces while maintaining its developmental trajectory.
“This is yet another response to the falsehoods and disinformation often spread about Georgia”, Makhashvili stated. “We see how difficult the situation is; Georgia is caught in a four-sided fire, yet we continue to progress”.
The lawmaker asserted that the index results validate the strategic direction taken by the government’s economic team. He noted that despite severe regional instability, the nation’s fiscal and structural decisions have proven effective.
Makhashvili pointed out that the ranking confirms the “firm and correct steps” taken by the authorities.
The Global Adaptation Index underscores Georgia’s ability to navigate “complex economic and geopolitical conditions” better than many of its global peers.
