Norwegian Air Sweden, a subsidiary of the Scandinavian low-cost carrier Norwegian Air Shuttle, will operate direct flights on the Tbilisi-Copenhagen-Tbilisi route twice a week starting from June 27.
According to the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency, the new route will initially operate twice a week - on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
From August 15, the schedule will shift slightly, with flights running on Wednesdays and Sundays.
The airline received its operating licence on March 23 from the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia, which operates under the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
The addition of this route is expected to strengthen Georgia’s connectivity with Scandinavian countries and increase tourist flows from Northern Europe.
Furthermore, Copenhagen Airport serves as a major European transit hub, providing Georgian passengers with expanded travel options to destinations across Europe and North America.
