The Georgian National Wine Agency on Thursday said in 2025, 11.5 million liters of wine worth $38.7 million were exported from Georgia to about 30 European countries.
As the Agency noted, revenues from wine exports increased by seven percent compared to 2024, and the volume increased by two percent.
“Last year, the largest volume of Georgian wine was sold in Poland among European countries, where 6.8 million liters of wine were exported. Germany was in second place - 1.3 million liters, then Latvia - 1.2 million liters, Lithuania - 703.5 thousand liters, Great Britain - 327.7 thousand liters, Estonia 271 thousand liters, etc”, the statement said.
The statement further highlighted that the growth in exports was notable in a country famous for its winemaking, such as France, where demand for Georgian wine, especially Qvevri wine, was constantly growing: in 2025, about 133 thousand liters were exported and the increase compared to 2024 was 63 percent.
One of the main directions of the National Wine Agency's activities is the promotion and awareness-raising of Georgian wine in international markets.
Among European countries, the strategic markets for Georgian wine are Great Britain, Germany and Poland, as well as the Scandinavian countries, where the agency implements advertising and marketing campaigns in order to diversify markets.
With the financial support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine companies participate in all important international wine and alcoholic beverage exhibitions in Europe.
