Mariam Kvrivishvili, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, on Wednesday dismissed what she described as a deliberate campaign filled with falsehoods aimed at misleading the public regarding the Eagle Hills investment projects.
Kvrivishvili responded to the domestic opposition’s statements regarding the large-scale investment project, noting that the Georgian public is wise and can clearly distinguish between “good and bad” initiatives.
She stressed that the country’s ability to attract an unprecedented $6.5 billion investment was entirely beneficial for Georgia and its citizens.
The Minister further explained that the project would create thousands of new jobs in Gonio and the capital city, primarily for Georgian citizens, as well as opportunities for the private sector.
“New economic opportunities will arise for Georgian businesses, and the development and tourism sectors will also benefit. Naturally, all those statements aiming to discredit this crucial national project and large-scale investment are unpatriotic”, Kvrivishvili said.
