Georgian Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili on Monday signed memorandums of understanding on cooperation in tourism and information technology sectors.
The documents were signed following expanded-format negotiations between members of the governments of Georgia and Kazakhstan.
The memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the tourism sector envisages the deepening of ties between the two countries in this area, the implementation of joint initiatives, and the exchange of tourism products and professional experience. This, in turn, is expected to strengthen tourism potential and contribute to increased tourist flows between Georgia and Kazakhstan.
The memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the information technologies sector envisages the development of the digital economy, public digital services, and digital education between Georgia and Kazakhstan.
The document will also facilitate connectivity and the exchange of experience between Georgian and Kazakh startups and IT companies.
On the Kazakh side, the documents were signed by Tourism and Sports Minister Yerbol Myrzabosynov and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development Jaslan Mädiev.
