Laura Thornton from McCain Institute calls Donald Trump “rapist, criminal”

Laura Thornton, the Senior Director for Global Democracy Programmes at the McCain Institute, on Tuesday claimed that the United States President Donald Trump was a “rapist and criminal”.

Thornton’s comments followed after Marika Mikiashvili, a member of the domestic opposition Droa party, on Tuesday posted a social media message about Georgians’ support for Trump.

“I understand that it is in Georgia's interests to make the case for Georgian democracy. But understand that he is a rapist and a criminal, so for many of us it, as the Georgians say, “cuts our ears” to hear lavish praise and ingratiation of him from our Georgian friends”, Thornton said in a social media message.
