The Chandler Institute has published its Coordinated Governance ranking as part of the Good Government 2026 report, where Georgia ranks ahead of two G7 countries and 15 member states of the OECD, the European Union, the Schengen Area and NATO.
In the global survey, the Georgian government received a high evaluation, ranking 24th worldwide and 13th in Europe.
The ranking is based on the Bertelsmann Foundation’s global survey assessing two questions: how effectively governments coordinate conflicting objectives into coherent policies, and how well informal coordination mechanisms complement formal coordination among ministries.
These countries are Japan, the United States, Ireland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Malta, Cyprus, North Macedonia, Israel and Turkey.
Georgia also shares the same ranking position with two G7 countries and nine EU member states: Germany, Italy, Sweden, Austria, Portugal, Poland, the Czech Republic, Croatia and Latvia.
