Ilia II to be moved to Holy Trinity Cathedral in foot procession, Georgian Patriarchate says

According to the Public Relations Service of the Georgian Patriarchate, a ceremonial procession will begin today at 16:00, transferring His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II to the Holy Trinity Cathedral.

The statement notes that the transfer of Ilia II - Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia - will take place from the Patriarchal Residence to the Holy Trinity Cathedral.

“The procession on foot will begin at 16:00”, the statement said.

The event is expected to draw clergy, officials, and members of the public, as the faithful accompany the Patriarch during the solemn transfer to the cathedral.
