Georgia celebrates the Day of Family Purity and Respect for Parents, an occasion established by the Georgian Orthodox Church to emphasise traditional family values.
In honour of the day, the Patriarchate of Georgia released a statement announcing religious gatherings and ceremonies.
Clergy and parishioners from the Mtskheta-Tbilisi Diocese, along with participants from Rustavi, assembled at Kashveti Church of St. George in Tbilisi.
Similar processions and events are being held throughout Georgia’s regions, marking the day as one of spiritual reflexion and emphasis on family unity and parental respect.
