Georgian President to attend inauguration of Pope Leo XIV in Vatican

Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili, accompanied by an official delegation, will attend the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected Pope Leo XIV in the Vatican.
“On May 18, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili, along with a delegation, will attend the inauguration ceremony of the new Pope of Rome, Leo XIV, in the Vatican”, the statement said.
The inauguration of Pope Leo XIV, the first American pontiff, is set to take place this week.
The Pope will start his official term with a mass which will be attended by world leaders.
