Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili on Friday extended his warmest congratulations to all citizens celebrating Nowruz Bayram, the ancient and traditional holiday marking the spring equinox.
Speaking at an event in the city of Marneuli dedicated to the occasion, the President emphasised the significance of traditions and diversity in Georgia.
He highlighted the significance of the day as a symbol of new energy, a new year, and the beginning of new life.
“For centuries, we have lived together, caring for our country. Throughout this time, we have learned a lot from one another and have shared diverse cultural values”, the President said.
“As the President of Georgia, I am honoured to congratulate each and every one of you on this special holiday and to reaffirm my commitment to standing by you in strengthening our nation”, he noted.
Novruz Bayram, celebrated by many communities across the world, symbolises renewal, harmony, and the arrival of spring.
In Georgia, the holiday is particularly significant for Azerbaijani communities residing in regions such as Marneuli, where festive events include traditional music, dance, and cultural performances.
