Georgian Government sends 140 tons of aid to snowstorm-hit Guria region

The Georgian Government on Thursday said 140 tons of food and essential goods had been sent to assist residents affected by heavy snowfall in the country’s western Guria region.

“Following the decision made by the coordination headquarters, led by the Prime Minister, the assistance, organised by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, will be distributed to all three municipalities of the Guria region and handed over to citizens”, the statement said.
