Tbilisi TV Tower illuminated in Ukrainian flag colours on Ukraine’s Independence Day

The Tbilisi TV Tower was illuminated in the colours of the Ukrainian national flag to mark Ukraine’s Independence Day, the Ukrainian Embassy in Georgia said in a social media post.

Ukraine declared its state independence on August 24, 1991, following the adoption of the Act of Declaration of Independence by the country’s parliament.

The annual holiday commemorates the restoration of Ukraine’s sovereignty and is celebrated across the country and by Ukrainian communities worldwide.
