Ivanishvili family mourns death of renowned photographer Badri Vadachkoria

Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder and Honorary Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream party, and his spouse Ekaterina Ivanishvili, on Friday expressed their condolences over the death of renowned Georgian journalist and photographer Badri Vadachkoria, describing him as a “dignified and noble person” and a chronicler of Georgian journalism and photography.

In a condolence letter, the couple highlighted Vadachkoria’s long career documenting historical events and their personal friendship with him.

“We express our deepest condolences over the death of renowned Georgian journalist and photographer Badri Vadachkoria. Mr. Badri was a dignified and noble person. In addition, he was a chronicler of Georgian journalism and photography - his camera captured numerous historical events and preserved them for future generations”, the letter said.

They also highlighted their longstanding friendship with Vadachkoria and extended their condolences to his family, friends, loved ones and colleagues.

“We had a long-standing friendship with Badri Vadachkoria. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Mr. Badri’s family, friends, loved ones and colleagues over this great loss”, the letter noted.

Renowned Georgian photographer Badri Vadachkoria died on Friday at the age of 79.
