Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said on Saturday that Georgia had made a “rational, pragmatic, right and unavoidable” decision by declining to join sanctions against Russia.
Responding to a journalist’s question about the United States lifting restrictions on Russian diesel, the Prime Minister said the move reflected Washington’s own policy.
“Remember how much of a campaign followed our decision not to join sanctions against Russia at the time. Against this backdrop, we are seeing sanctions being eased. It has once again become clear that we made an absolutely rational and pragmatic, right and unavoidable decision when we chose not to join sanctions against Russia”, Kobakhidze said.
