Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said on Thursday that the country’s strategic location in the South Caucasus and along the Middle Corridor, combined with its direct access to the Black Sea, creates significant opportunities to strengthen connectivity between Central Asia and Europe and promote trade and investment.
In his address to the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, Kobakhidze further underscored the importance of a network of free trade agreements.
“Our strategic location and direct access to the Black Sea facilitate trade and investment, linking landlocked countries in our wider region to global supply chains”, he said.
“Our network of free trade agreements provides access to a market of approximately 2.3 billion consumers”, Kobakhidze concluded.
