Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday said the domestic opposition had become fragmented and weakened, adding that this was reflected in conflicts among opposition representatives.
Speaking to journalists, Kobakhidze said the opposition’s strength and resilience had been significantly diminished.
“At this point, their immune system is completely collapsing; their immunity has been diminished, and ultimately, all of this is reflected in the conflicts we see among opposition representatives”, he said.
“These conflicts are the result of the opposition’s weakness. We have done a great deal to weaken the so-called radical opposition. Our efforts have been successful, and all of this serves the purpose of establishing a democratic system in Georgia once and for all”, Kobakhidze concluded.
