The press office of Mamuka Mdinaradze, Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and State Minister for Regional Policy Issues, on Tuesday dismissed a letter published by imprisoned former Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili as “complete nonsense”, saying his claims were contradicted by the content of a letter circulated the previous day.
The press office made the comment to Imedi TV in response to Garibashvili’s recently published statement.
“What Irakli Garibashvili published is complete nonsense; it was ruled out by the content of the letter circulated yesterday itself”, the press office said.
Former Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Tuesday published a letter saying he had not committed a crime and had gone to prison because he did not want to harm the interests of the state and his political team.
