Saakashvili reportedly ordered breakup of opposition alliance

A opposition alliance formed several months ago has officially dissolved, according to information obtained by Imedi TV.

The decision to leave the alliance was reportedly instructed by imprisoned former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili. According to the report, Saakashvili sent a letter to Nanuka Zhorzholiani and Levan Bezhashvili regarding the matter.

Imedi TV attempted to verify the information with members of the alliance. However, representatives of the group have not provided a clear response to the report.
