Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili said on Friday that the Georgian government remains fully committed to continuing political dialogue with the United States, expressing hope that Washington will show the same willingness to advance bilateral relations.
In her interview with Imedi TV, Botchorishvili stressed that while both countries agree on resetting the strategic partnership, the next stage should focus on defining its practical substance through diplomatic engagement and political dialogue.
“From our side, there is full readiness to continue political dialogue with the United States, and we expect the same from the US side”, she said.
“It can be said that both sides share the view that discussions on strategic partnership should start from a clean slate. However, we believe - and we also share this with the US side - that our strategic partnership should be filled with specific content. How and what that content will be is, of course, a matter of diplomatic work and political dialogue with the American side”, Botchorishvili concluded.
