Irakli Kadagishvili, the Chair of the Georgian Parliament’s Regional Policy and Self-government Committee, on Wednesday said that Georgia is a stable and reliable partner with strong logistical, technological, financial, and human-resource potential, making relations with the country important for Germany.
Kadagishvili commented on the scheduling of Aleksandre Kartozia’s credentials ceremony with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, as well as the removal from the German Federal Foreign Office’s website of the page that had identified Salome Zourabichvili as Georgia’s incumbent President.
The official noted that it was positive when a state acknowledges basic truths on its official platforms.
“It is good when a state reflects an elementary truth on its official website and faces reality. The political rhetoric of certain political circles will not change quickly, but the realities of life push everyone toward taking real steps. Everyone has seen that Georgia is not a state that can be easily used to involve it in matters that do not serve our national goals but, on the contrary, harm them. No pressure or encouragement dressed up in beautiful words can achieve its goal”, Kadagishvili said.
He highlighted Georgia’s infrastructure, logistics, banking system, internet connectivity, modern technologies, and human resources as important assets that increase the country’s strategic value.
“Georgia is, in reality, a state that has stability, is a reliable partner, and possesses the necessary logistics and potential - not only in terms of infrastructure, but also through its banking system, internet connectivity, the use of modern technologies, and its human-resource potential, with people capable of managing and developing these areas. This is why Germany needs supplies for its economy and why Germany needs relations with Georgia”, he concluded.
